This idea started after my mom bought the children a Christmas version of Bingo, called Jingo.  It’s very cute, with images of Santa, Rudolph, candy canes, you get the idea.  But no mention of Christ, which drives me crazy.  So..I began to work on a version of our own.  Last year I gave it as gifts to all of our friends to enjoy with their families.  This year I added clip art images to make it adaptable for younger children who are not reading yet.

Instead of calling out “B-3″, you draw a card which has one of the images from the Bingo card & a written clue or description. With the older kids we read the clue & have them guess the answer, then cover the square if they have it.  With the younger children we say the word & have them find the picture on their card.

It’s a fun way to learn (and be reminded of) the Christmas story and what it means for each one of us.  I’m happy to share it with you, and hope to have it available to order soon if you’re not quite up for making your own.
